Painting Two

  1. OK, this raises a lot of questions. Is this the same canvas updated? Is this a different painting of the same location at a different time? Regardless, I like the changing light between the two posts. When looking at the second painting compared to the first, it feels like the it may be the same guy in each painting, and I feel sorry for him in the second painting that he couldn't make it work in the first, and am wondering if he is running away or starting out on an adventure. I guess we will find out.

  2. The blog title reflects my goal to make many paintings on one canvas. Each new one will cover up the last. I wouldn't say that I have any intention of telling a story with the paintings but I do like the idea that some elements of the last painting will be kept.

  3. DUHH, am I blind or did you add the subtitle to you header? Great idea BTW. Will be curious to see how thick it gets as well as haw may incarnations it will go through. This idea kind of reminds me of the sand creations that the Buddhist monks make and then let blow away. As each painting dies (gets covered) a new one is born.

  4. This is gonna be good. I'm already starting to imagine what change I would make to the canvas next.

  5. While I like the idea and will be interested in what is to come next....and next...and next........I really like this painting. There is something both hearthfelt and lonely about this painting. I'll be sad to see it go. I'll have to make a copy of it to keep for myself. Nicely done.
