In a college printmaking class I had the pleasure to see a series of prints called The Lucky Dragon done by an artist named Hugh Merrill. He printed paper and ink records of the changes he made to a single zinc plate. It blew me away and I never forgot about it though I no longer practice printmaking. A marriage of the internet and photography seems a perfect way of capturing and sharing a series of changes done to a single canvas. Thank you to Roger for helping me to keep this memory alive.
